Caffeine and Nicotine


Try to avoid caffeine and nicotine before bedtime. These are stimulants can keep you awake. People who are regular smokers can experience withdrawl throughout the evening which can cause them to wake up more often.


Instead of caffinated drinks such as pop or coffee, try a nice hot decafinated herbal tea. Try not to drink too much as you could be waking up to some bathroom trips. As far as nicotine goes, if you get a craving, try a small snack and keep yourself occupied until it’s time to go to bed.
