Stick To A Schedule


Try sticking to a schedule. Go to sleep at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning, including weekends. If you sleep in on Saturday and Sunday morning, by Sunday night you won’t be tired. You don’t need to rely on an alarm clock to wake up when you get enough sleep. If you are too tired to wake up in the morning, try going to sleep earlier.

I always thought that I needed 9 hours of sleep per night. I went to sleep at 10pm every night and woke up at 7 in the morning. I had trouble going to sleep. My mind would always race. It would take me hours to get to sleep. Finally, I figured out that I was actually sleeping too much. So I started waking up earlier, and now I have more energy during the day and actually go to sleep right away at night.


If you wake up several times a night and have trouble going to sleep, try going to sleep later at night. Try to establish a night time routine. Do the same thing everynight for the last hour. Try working in some of the other methods provided here, but try to keep the same thing going for at least one week to be able to see it’s effects.
