Yes, I know. Exercise is a lot of work, but it can also be a lot of fun. There are many things you can do that burn calories that doesn’t involve running down the street. Here are some common tasks that will help you burn some extra calories.

This is for 30 minute sessions

Vacuuming: 75 – 125
Making beds: 70
Cooking: 40–50

Exercise can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Set a target of 30 minutes extra physical activity per day. You don’t need to do it all at the same time but can break it into three sessions of 10 minutes each. Get a pedometer and try to walk at least 10,000 steps per day.

Exercising releases chemicals in the brain called seratonins that can reduce anxiety, stress and depression so if you don’t feel like exercising remind yourself how good it makes you feel afterwards. The government recommends walking 10,000 steps per day to maintain a healthy body weight. See how many steps you do in a day and try to increase the number you do.

Now that you have finish, why don’t you give some other techniques a try.
