Writing A Journal For Weight Loss

Today you can begin by writing a journal. Tonight, before you go to sleep, I want you to write all of the healthy things you ate today. Don’t write in anything bad, this is to be positive writing only. If you drank water, that is good, write it down. Next, I want you to write 5 things that you like about your physical body. It could be the smallest thing, like your nose, or your ears, etc.

Tomorrow morning, I want you to read what you have written the night before and remember eating all those healthy foods and how good they made you feel. Enjoy each item individually. Next read the things you like about yourself. I want you to feel each item internally and enjoy how those items make you feel.

I will give you an example, let’s use your nose. Close your eyes, and make sure that nothing is touching your nose. I want you to feel your nose. Not with your hands, but with your mind. Here is a good question to ask yourself “How do you know your nose is still there?” Because you can feel it. If you have never done this type of exercise before, it is a little exhilarating. I know it was when I first did. I had never felt my nose like that before.

Once you have finished the exercise, you can close your journal. Tomorrow night, I want you to write again, all the healthy food that you have eaten and write one more thing you like about yourself. The next morning, proceed with the exercises as above, and continue for at least 30 days before moving on to the next step.
